COVID Test Kits Delivered by UAV to Vessels

About the event

This 60-minute webinar will provide information and field questions for SOCP Members and Friends on the topic of utilizing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to deliver COVID test kits to inbound vessels.

The U.S. shipping industry rose to meet the uncommon trials and tribulations presented by the COVID pandemic. As we continue to think outside the box with new tools adapted to changing needs, there is good reason to anticipate custom-designed UAVs to provide COVID test kits to inbound vessels. The objective is to provide better care to seafarers while saving time and money to the industry. This webinar will present a project to test and demonstrate this novel “new tools” concept.
